Our approach
This website draws on publicly available sources: contemporary official documents, interviews, journalism, book catalogues and photographic archives. The historical narrative has been written in new words; short quotations are marked and attributed. Each reference in the website links to the corresponding record here.
The Hebrew Wikipedia article, written in part by Gazit’s grandson, and its English counterpart served as a basis for comparison and for locating additional sources. Where original documentation was found, it was given priority. The website keeps growing, and further sources and memories are always welcome.
